Helping to make the website Simply Clever-er.

At Reading Room, we’re responsible for ŠKODA’s UK website. We work closely with the ŠKODA team to cater for model and campaign launches, optimise user navigation, and build new pages.

The site has an extensive history, and I'm now working to standardise its design. By starting off small - ‘what does a button look like?’ - we’re building a clear set of standards that we’re beginning to apply site-wide (see the model pages, right). It’s really efficient for our designers and developers, it’s great for users, and it helps set the stage for bigger improvements to the site in future.

Reading Room case study

Reducing the site's reliance on bespoke page layouts.

Heavily standardising existing type styles and metrics.

Introducing (limited) use of clean, clear and friendly iconography.
